IBM System 360 Model 40

In August, 1965, WDPC received the components of an IBM System 360 Model 40 computer as the first step in a planned transition to the newer generation of IBM computers. Its initial uses were for graphics, PL/I progamming, and some developmental programs. FORTAN IV was now the primary programming language used on the 7094/7040 direct couple system.
