I went to the Owl because I heard he had THE ANSWER.
I found him at home, and it seemed to me that he,
sitting silent in utmost concentration, must indeed have
THE ANSWER.
"It is said," I spoke, "that you alone have THE ANSWER."
The Owl replied, "My friend, as much as is said of me is true."
And so I asked the Owl THE QUESTION.
He answered me carefully, and with infinite patience,
"You must find out for yourself."
Thinking I had been deceived, I spoke angrily.
"Did I need the Owl to tell me I must think for myself?"
But, my friend," the Owl replied, "THAT IS THE ANSWER."
