A History of Computing at UCLA Graduate School of Management
1980-2002
In Spring 2002, Clay Sprowls invited me to join him in preparing
this history of computing at The Anderson Graduate School of
Management at UCLA. I have had the privilege of being
computing services director since July 1980, and as such
participated directly in many of the changes over the past twenty
years. My plan was to identify the milestones, the major
computing events in what has been an extremely exciting journey, and
write notes around the events. Wherever possible, Iíve used
documents from that time to tell the story, embellished with
recollection as seen from 2002.
Please use the Timeline as a guide to
this history. I welcome your comments,
questions
and feedback to assist in the development of this
history. Thank you.
